Zealous is an application that makes networking in the tech world easy, personal and meaningful. 80% of professionals consider networking essential to their career success, yet 52% do not keep in touch with their network and 49% say it’s because they don’t have enough time. That’s where Zealous comes in, with a geolocation-enabled app that facilitates the connection and reconnection of individuals in the tech startup space.
Being the first of its kind, Zealous requires a curated and customized marketing approach to distinguish itself from the competition and become well-known to its audience. While easy-to-implement influencer collaborations or giveaway posts may work for other brands, Zealous functions differently – requiring a strong relationship-building strategy and community presence. The latter not only takes time and patience to build, but also craft.
On the PR front, Cameo deployed what is truly a customized approach – utilizing a thoughtful mixture of event presence, partner outreach, focus groups, press features and content community campaigns to both grow the credibility behind the Zealous brand while solidifying its presence in the community that suits it best. For social, we adopted a community first approach with a #ZealousTalks series, featuring the tech industry’s brightest minds to discuss their approach to networking. Team Cameo secured and filmed those interviews – acting like a truly integrated content agency that does it all. The team also ensured to populate the Zealous feed with demo videos, GIFS, carousels and other assets that ensured to portray the app usability and key features.
