Entrecôte’s story started in 1930, in Geneva at a restaurant called “Café de Paris” in 26 Rue Mont Blanc where the patron Chef Boubier developed the world famous sauce “Café de Paris” named after his restaurant and its recipe is still kept a secret till today! In the UAE, Entrecôte is one of the community’s favorite Entrecôte steak restaurants.
To celebrate the arrival of Mr. François Vouillamoz, the current owner of the original Entrecôte Café de Paris, to Dubai, the team was looking to publicize the arrival and create hype around the occasion.
The Cameo team met the client’s requirements with a PR plan covering a media event, interview opportunities and a press release to announce the news. With the Entrecôte team having recently launched an outside terrace in their Dubai Mall branch, we took the opportunity to invite relevant media to commemorate Mr. Francois’s arrival as they enjoyed Dubai’s beautiful winter weather by the terrace. This included both English and Arabic media.
The team managed to secure tier 1 attendance at the event, welcoming Sky News Arabia, Dubai Tourism, Layalina Magazine and Awqat Magazine to dine with Mr. Francois at Entrecote’s new terrace. To announce the news, a press release was also distributed – securing coverage on Gulf News and Awqat Magazine to name a few examples.
